A tarantula walks into a cockpit... 🕷️✈️

Picture this: You're cruising at 35,000 feet, handling a massive aircraft with hundreds of souls on board, when suddenly - CHOMP! - a tarantula decides to make your acquaintance.

This recently happened to an Iberia pilot who, plot twist, turned out to be allergic to spiders. But here's where it gets good - instead of panicking (which, let's be honest, would've been totally justified), this captain kept their cool, got medical treatment, and landed that plane like an absolute boss.

Captain’s log: Unexpected turbulence… and also, a spider.

It reminds me of something I've been thinking about: how we handle those unexpected "tarantula moments" in our business. You know, those times when life throws a complete curve ball our way.

The easy response? Panic. Freeze. Or my personal favorite - pretend it isn't happening while internally screaming. (I've been there. Trust.)

But what if, like our spider-bitten hero, we chose to stay cool under pressure? What if we treated these pattern interruptions not as disasters, but as opportunities to show what we're made of?

Here's what I know: We're entrepreneurs, and we're made of tough stuff. Period.

Your audience isn't just watching for what you do when everything's going right. They're watching for how you handle the unexpected. Those moments when a metaphorical tarantula drops into your lap - that's when you have the chance to really shine. And be a leader in your community.

So here's my challenge to you today: What's your tarantula? What unexpected situation are you facing that could become your moment to shine?

P.S. The spider was never found. Sleep tight!
