Mystery buttons

Greetings Grasshopper!

Below is a screenshot I took from an AI newsletter that I get every day.

Here’s the thing:

I don't want or need that person's business secrets. If I did a backflip, I'd most certainly end up in the hospital. (I've never been that coordinated, honestly.) I also kind of already knew what I'd find - this newsletter is constantly pitching, so I figured there was a very good chance that there was a pitch at the other end.

But did I click the button? You bet your sweet bippy I did.

The shock is palpable.

I got exactly what I expected, of course. (Definitely a boring sales pitch.) However, that isn't the point.

Giving your clients an interesting journey that delivers. That's the point.

Knowing them well enough to provide that journey. Thinking about what delightful item or experience they will find at the end. Providing them an experience they may share about to their friends.

This is what I live for.

I use a lot of tech tools, and I have produced quite a few myself. Be that as it may, the tools don't really matter. Intention matters more than tools.

The example above is a simple click of a button. There was no tech mastery behind this, let me assure you. It was simple, but it evoked a reaction far beyond what most messages can ever hope to convey.

Those are my thoughts today. Take care of yourselves and take care of each other.
