Your voice matters more than you think. Here's why.

Grasshopper,

You may not know this about me, but I used to be the quiet kid in the corner. While others filled the air with chatter, I was busy observing, listening, and soaking it all in. I didn’t speak much—my sisters were more inclined to talk than I was—but I kinda liked it that way.

Watching and listening taught me so much. I noticed the subtle things: how someone’s tone could say more than their words or how a quiet glance could change the energy of a whole room. And when I did speak? I’d already thought through what mattered most, so I made my words count.

Proof that even the quietest corners of the tavern are filled with tiny legends in the making.

Now, you might be thinking, RJ? Quiet? No way! And yeah, I’m not shy anymore (trust me, I’ll grab a mic in a heartbeat). But breaking out of that shell was tough.

Here’s what I made me want to break out of that shell: When you have a vision, it needs to be shared.

Otherwise, no one gets to see it.

No one gets inspired by it.

No one gets to join you in bringing it to life.

And when a vision stays hidden, it withers.

So here’s my question for you:

How well can you articulate your vision?

How well can you tell the story that’s burning inside you right now?

Because whether you realize it or not, you are someone else’s beacon of hope. Your light—your unique perspective—is exactly what your community is searching for.

Someday, you too will carry the light—but first, stop spilling potion on my workbench.

The question isn’t whether your story matters. Trust me, your story is vital.

The real question is: Are you willing to share it?
